VACANCY: HEAD CHEF | THE WARDROBE
OPENING IT’S DOOR IN 1999, THE WARDROBE IS A MULTI-FUNCTIONING BAR, KITCHEN, VENUE & EVENTS SPACE IN THE HEART OF LEEDS’ ART QUARTER.
Since then we have proudly remained an independently-owned business serving high quality food, great drinks and hosting a variety of live music, comedy & club nights in our basement venue. Currently in a 20th anniversary year the venue is enjoying a rapid period of growth for the restaurant, live events and as part of the Futuresound Group; one of the largest and fastest growing music companies in the North of England.
The Wardrobe now has an exciting opportunity for a new Head Chef to join our team and run the busy kitchen based in the Cultural Quarter of Leeds.
Your role will be to lead the kitchen and transform the output of the restaurant in a busy and well-regarded city-centre bar, restaurant and music venue. You will be required to develop and deliver creative new menus to suit our customer base. We are looking for someone who can drive high standards and creativity. You will be someone well trained in hygiene regulations, along with experience of training and managing staff. You will have a passionate and ambitious approach to foodservice and be looking for an environment where you can make a real difference with effective leadership.
You will have:
At least 2 years experience as a head chef in a busy, creative and fast-moving working environment
An up-to-date level 3 supervising food hygiene or equivalent certificate
A good understanding of P&L accounts, food costings and GP
A strong knowledge and experience of kitchen health & safety and stock control
Responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the kitchen are managed in an effective, efficient and productive manner
Experience in creative menu development and passion for creativity and innovation
Experience in overseeing and maintaining high standard of service
Experience in Managing and motivating a team

Salary: £28000 - £35000
