Slam Dunk Festival today announced a new site for it’s Northern site, previously held in Leeds City Centre.
The festival will now be held at Temple Newsam park, the old site for Leeds Festival and a significant upgrade in facilities and capacity. The introduction of a second greenfield site will see the annual rock festival move from three sites to two with the South event being held at Hatfield Park for the second year in a row.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, festival director Ben Ray said: “I am slightly sad to be leaving the city centre, as it was really fun to do, but the event will be much better with all the space at Temple Newsam. I’d like to thank Leeds City Council for all the support on the event, both in the city centre and now with moving it to a new home.”
