WHO WE ARE 

Futuresound Group is a music company in Leeds City Centre that includes record labels, artist management, live music, festivals, venues and vinyl record manufacture.  

The company runs over 500 live music events a year and hosts some of the UK’s most established festivals including Slam Dunk Festival and Live at Leeds.

 

The record labels within Futuresound Group include Dance to the Radio and Slam Dunk Records and have developed numerous UK acts from a standing start to millions of streams, UK, EU and US Touring, sold out shows and festival slots, as well as widespread media support in the UK and internationally.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Dance To The Radio & Futuresound Artist Management are looking to hire a music-loving Marketing & Label Assistant working directly on artist campaigns for our record labels and management company artists.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career at one of the North’s most established music companies.  You will be working in a friendly and vibrant office along with a team of passionate music lovers working across exciting artist campaigns.

 

 

 

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES 

  • Writing and executing marketing and content plans for artist campaigns. This includes suggesting content ideas, replicating posts to all platforms and keeping on top of relevant social trends.

  • Basic content filming and video editing and advising artists what content works best for each platform

  • Managing social media channels for our labels

  • Creating and reporting on digital advertising campaigns 

  • Attending shows for signed artists and representing the label as well as collecting social media content

  • Scheduling writing sessions with artists – this will involve speaking to third party music industry colleagues like publishers and writer / artist managers 

  • Liaising with Public Relations teams to schedule press features for our artists 

  • Liaising with artists to gather and distribute campaign assets.

  • Assisting with general label administration tasks.

  • This role will require some work on evenings and weekends in return for lieu time

SKILLS, INTERESTS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

 

  • Actively involved in a music scene and passionate about new music discovery

  • A strong knowledge and informed insight with all social media platforms and content planning used for music promotion

  • Skills and experience with MS Office and entry-level video editing software (Capcut will suffice).

  • A confidence when communicating with artists and proposing creative ideas

  • A can-do attitude regardless of the format of the task and an enthusiasm to learn about the music industry

Desirable:

 

  • Entry level Experience on design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator etc)

  • Experience of digital advertising and marketing plans

  • Experience of Marketing reporting

  • A broad knowledge of all genres of music
