Here is some key information to help you plan your visit.
Tickets
All attendees must have a ticket, and please remember to bring your ticket with you on the day. Tickets can be shown on your phone or printed before you arrive. All tickets are non-refundable.
There is no re-admittance to York Museum Gardens, once you have left the site you will not be allowed to re-enter.

Event curfew for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and Self Esteem is 10:30pm. Event curfew for Super Furry Animals is 9:55pm.
Tickets Sales & Collections
The box office is located adjacent to the ticket-scanning entrance via Museum Street and will be open from the gate opening time until 8:30pm each day.
Entry Gates
General Admission Ticket holders
Enter via the Museum Street entrance.
Premium Ticket holders
Enter via the Exhibition Square entrance.

All premium tickets allow entry to the premium viewing area, hang out area with private bar, food offerings and premium toilets.
​
Access Ticket Holders
​If you have pre-arranged accessible tickets please enter the site via the Museum Street entrance, there will be a separate lane for access ticket holders. This is where you will collect accreditation for the accessible areas, and from here there is hard-standing footpath to the accessible platform and accessible ambulant area.

York Museum Gardens is an outdoor greenfield site. Attendees will need to travel across grassy terrain to access the viewing platforms and other areas of the event. Should we experience rain in the lead up to the events or on the day the terrain could become muddy and harder to navigate, please come prepared for such conditions.
Please note that customers with ‘Accessible General Standing’ tickets – this ticket is fully standing within the general admission standing area. There is no seated access, your wristband allows use of all accessible facilities except those in the ‘accessible ambulant area’ and on the ‘accessible viewing platform’ unless you have a wristband for those areas .
Blue Badge Parking
This event is unable to provide any reserved parking for customers. However, York has several blue badge parking locations near the gardens that we can direct you towards. Please note, these are publicly available spaces and are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Marygate Car Park – there are 11 dedicated disabled bays available for Blue Badge holders immediately outside the car park, located between the entry and exit points. There is no free parking for Blue Badge holders available within the car park, and please note if you enter the car park barrier system there is a fee to pay.
Bootham Row – there are 9 dedicated Blue Badge parking bays which are available for Blue Badge holders only. In addition, Blue Badge holders can park in any bay in this car park, free of charge, for as long as they want.

Travel Information
The event is unable to supply customer car parking. We advise where possible to use public transport, however, paid public parking is available. For more car parking information please visit here.
York Museum Gardens is centrally located with many public transport links.
Please use public transport or travel on foot wherever possible.
York Museum Gardens is located 0.6 miles from York train station. There are several bus stops nearby, for more information please click here.
York has six Park & Ride sites located around the outskirts of York, with regular services into the city centre. For more information on service times and locations, please click here.

Please note that the Rawcliffe Bar number 2 bus service will operate an additional departure from Museum Street at 22:45, arriving back at Rawcliffe Bar at 23:00. The site will be locked at 00:00.
Safety & Prohibited Items
A number of items are prohibited, these include glass, alcohol, large cameras and recording equipment. For a full list of items please visit here.
Your safety at York Museum Gardens is paramount and we constantly liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure robust security measures are in place. In order to ensure a safe environment, mandatory bag searches will be carried out and we may search you, your clothing or other items. We ask for your patience in this regard.
Please note: refillable plastic water bottles are permitted, but they must be empty upon arrival and no larger than 500ml. One unopened 500ml plastic bottle of water is also permitted.

Bags
To support our staff and to make this process efficient, please avoid bringing a bag if possible. Backpacks along with any bags over A3 size will not be permitted. There are no cloakroom facilities at York Museum Gardens.
No camera or recording equipment
Please do not bring any kind of recording equipment, drones or remote control devices as these will not be permitted within the venue. There are no facilities for storing confiscated equipment and entry to the event may be refused. All persons entering the venue consent to any photography/filming/recording arranged by the promoter.
On the day facilities
Viewing
This is a standing event. Please do not bring any picnic blankets, chairs, or portable furniture, inflatable or otherwise. These will be confiscated at the gates.
Refreshments
There will be a number of food and drink vendors catering for all tastes. Food vendors will be listed on social media in advance.
Food and drink is not permitted into the venue unless it is for medical or religious purposes. Any food and drink required for these purposes must be arranged in advance. Please email access@futuresoundgroup.com to make arrangements. .
There are water points available on site and free drinking water is also available from the bars.
Card payments
York Museum Gardens is completely cashless and there are no cash points inside the venue, so please plan ahead.
Weather
This event is open air, so please plan and bring clothing suitable to the forecasted conditions. Small personal umbrellas are permitted, however, large umbrellas, parasols or gazebos are not permitted.
Lost Property
Any lost property received during the event will be stored at the medical tent. Once the event has passed any lost property will be sorted at York Museum Gardens. For any enquiries after the event please contact the museum directly. Information on how to contact can be found here.
First Aid
The first aid tent will be located by the main bar within York Museum Gardens and will be clearly signposted on site.
