Live at York Museum Gardens is a series of live events taking place within the grounds of the York Museum Gardens.  Please note, all events are standing events and seating will not be provided or permitted into the venue.

Times

Set times vary per event, please check Live at York Museum Gardens social media channels where they will be published ahead of each event.

Music

Gate Times: 
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark: 5pm
Self Esteem: 5pm 

Super Furry Animals: 3:30pm

Last Entry: 
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark: 8:30pm
Self Esteem: 8:30pm
Super Furry Animals: 8:30pm
 

Event curfew for OMD and Self Esteem is 10:30pm. Event curfew for Super Furry Animals is 9:55pm.

Comedy

Gates Open: 3pm 

Last Entry: 8:15pm

Event curfew is 10:20pm.

Tickets Sales & Collections 
The box office is located adjacent to the ticket-scanning entrance via Museum Street and will be open from the gate opening time until 8:30pm each day for the Music events and 8:15pm for the Comedy.  

Entry Gates
General Admission Ticket holders
Enter via the Museum Street entrance. 

Premium Ticket holders
Enter via the Exhibition Square entrance.

All premium tickets allow entry to the premium viewing area, hang out area with private bar, food offerings and premium toilets.

Age Restrictions 
Children under 14 years of age (aged 5-13) must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian (18 or over) and will need to purchase a full-price ticket.  Children under 5 are not permitted.  Live at York Museum Gardens does not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care of liability for any under 18’s on-site.
A check 25 age verification policy will be in operation for the sale or supply of alcohol. The promoters reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to those that are intoxicated, or are likely to become intoxicated if further alcohol is served

Prohibited Items
Your safety at York Museum Gardens is paramount and we continuously liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure robust security measures are in place.  In order to ensure this is a safe environment mandatory bag searches will be carried out and we may search you, your clothing or other items.

Several items are prohibited, these include but are not exhausted to:

·      Glass,

·      Alcohol,

·      Food & Drink* 

·      Large, professional cameras,

·      Large sports umbrellas (small, handbag sized umbrellas are permitted), 

·      Recording equipment,

·      Chairs & foldout blankets,

·      Large sports umbrellas

·      Bags larger than A3 size (30cm x 42cm x 19cm)

* Should you need to bring an item of food or drink with you due to medical or religious requirements, please contact the event organiser prior to arrival.

Ticket Information 
Postcode pre-sale 

Residents with postcodes YO1 | YO10 | YO19 | YO23 | YO24 | YO26 | YO30 | YO31 | YO32 are entitled to an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale ahead of tickets being released on general sale.

Postcode presale tickets must be purchased through the 'postcode presale link'. 

Step 1 > Click the 'events' section on our website.

Step 2 > Click the 'Buy postcode presale' link for the relevant show you wish to purchase. 

Step 3 > Enter the first part of your postcode (YO1) into the 'use code' box.

Step 4 > Select your choice of ticket type and proceed to purchase. 

Please note, the first part of your postcode must match the billing address used at time of purchase. 
 

Ticket Types 

General Admission Standing Ticket
Includes general admission to the venue. 

Premium Admission Standing Ticket
include: 

• Dedicated Premium Entrance (please note all premium and general admission entrances open at the same time)

• Premium Viewing Area with standing viewing platform (Subject to Capacity)

• Premium Hang Out Area (does not have view of stage)

• Premium Flushing Toilets

• Premium Bar

 
This a standing venue and no camping chairs, rugs, stools or other furniture will be permitted within the venue

Please be aware there is no readmission after entry.

​​On The Day Facilities ​​

Food & Drink 

Food and drink may not be brought into the event. However, a wide range of food and drink options will be available inside, catering to all dietary requirements.

​

Customers are permitted to bring one empty refillable plastic water bottle (up to 500ml in size), which can be refilled at designated points. Alternatively, customers may bring one unopened plastic water bottle (up to 500ml) into the event.

Should you need to bring an item of food or drink with you due to medical or religious requirements, please email access@futuresoundgroup.com prior to arrival to arrange.

There are water points available on site and free drinking water is also available from the bars.  

 

Card payments 

York Museum Gardens is completely cashless and there are no cash points inside the venue, so please plan ahead. 

 

Seating

Music

All music events are standing only, customers are not permitted to bring any picnic blankets, chairs, or portable furniture, inflatable or otherwise.  These will be confiscated at the gates. 

 

Comedy

Chairs will be provided for customers with ‘Premium/General Admission Seated tickets’. Customers with Standing Terrace ticket are not permitted to bring  camping chairs, rugs, stools or other furniture into the venue.  

Weather 

Live at York Museum Gardens is an open-air event, so please plan for the forecasted weather.  Small personal, handbag sized umbrellas are permitted but large sporting umbrellas, parasols or gazebos are not permitted.

Lost Property 

Any lost property received during the event will be stored at the medical tent.  Once the event has passed any lost property will be sorted at York Museum Gardens.  For any enquiries after the event please contact the museum directly.  Information on how to contact can be found here.

Please note that the Rawcliffe Bar number 2 bus service will operate an additional departure from Museum Street at 22:45, arriving back at Rawcliffe Bar at 23:00.  The site will be locked at 00:00.
